This sail is 15 miles one way, so bring lots of food and drink (and sun screen). If the wind dies (as it usually does in the late afternoon) we will have a tow back available. 10-29-2005BSCBSC Pumpkin Race Day on the ForebayTwo racing venues at the Thermalito Forebay. The first includes carving sailboats out of pumpkins and racing them across the lagoon. Strict class rules (one pumpkin, one pie plate, one soda can, and two sticks) will be followed. Kids of all ages are invited to carve! After the pumpkin races, we will go on the water and chase one another around the Thermalito Forebay. We will begin building pumpkin boats at ten o'clock, eat lunch, and then go out on the water. 08-20-2005LWSCDinghy Delta DitchThe Lake Washington Sailing Club is hosting a new regatta this summer for all dinghies. It is a race from Rio Vista to Sacramento up the deep water shipping channel. The course is approximately 30 miles long and will take the average dinghy about 6 hours to complete in light to normal conditions. After racing a BBQ party will follow at the LWSC clubhouse. Because of the one-directional nature of the race, a shuttle from the LWSC parking lot to the launching facility will be provided to help with transportation  LWC

There will be a rabbit start, Portsmouth racing, and each boat will keep its own time. The lake will be very low, so there will be no danger of masts hitting the bridge.
