Builder's Remarks
The Prindle 18-2, the newest Prindle Cat, is a sloop-rigged, symmetrically-hulled
catamaran that uses pivoting centerboards for windward performance and,
like the Prindle 19, was patterned after the Olympic Class Tornado. Designed
as a performance cruising and racing catamaran that sails best with a
combined skipper / crew weight of 270 to 320-lbs., the 18-2 is ideally
suited for couples and other light-to-medium weight crews who make up
the majority of people currently sailing. |
