The launching was a bit crowded at the Forest Service Boat Ramp

Paul & Gesela Ritchie were sailing their Hunter 216 with friend Mike Maddox

Mike and Paul took turns at the helm.

The 3-8 mph breeze allowed everyone to ralax and enjoy the spectacular views.

Mona and Michelle also took turns at the helm.

The view of Lassen Peak was great.

Kelly and Chris Barr doing that Thistle thing...

Grant dipped into the beef jerkey for a snack.

When the wind lightened, we dropped sails and went for a swim.

This was the view from the tip of the peninsula looking northwest.

We practiced our spinnaker gybes in these relaxing conditions.

Paul Melcon arrived mid afternoon. Here, he is seen on the right shadowing Michelle and Mona in their C-15.

Andrew and Linda Streng towed their son, David, on an air mattress behing their Flying Dutchman.

Paul's Sea Spray has been refitted with a Thistle mast and a Hobie Escape mainsail.

Paul easily caught up with our Thistle, despite our use of a 200 square foot spinnaker.

This view looking southeast shows the C-15 coming downwind wing & wing.

We put the boat away about 4:00 so we could rest up for our moonit sail after dinner.

Puting the C-15 back on the trailer were (L. to R.) Paul Melcon, Mona Martine and Michelle Caron.

Cherrill Melcon and friend Eileen Simon relaxed in the shade and enjoyed the view.

The Hunter was easy to dock once the jib was roller furled.

It was a great day on the water. The smiles speak volumes!

This was the scene at the Forest Service Ramp as Paul Ritchie pulled out his boat.

The Barrs "camped" in their motorhome next to their boat .

A gaggle of geese swam up the west shore with Lassen Peak beyond.

Tony and Mary Jo Rodeghiero came up to camp and play.

Jane Coleman and Dave McKinney sailed Jane's Flying Junior, "Tigger" on Sat. & Sun.
