Five FJs and two catamarans made it into the water on a blustery morning that featured squall lines moving through from the south. The cats abandoned the lake due to good sense and obvious control problems. The FJs tried sailing both upright and upside down--they, too, electerd to leave the lake. The lesson is that when conditions are terrible, the prudent stay onshore.

LOYC had more boats (7 to 2) and members (about 14 to 4) and hosted an atypical event. they are hoping for a dramatic rise in the big lake but always have the dinghies to bang around in. they are a great group and we will have to do more with them. IWe are all hoping for warm and reasonably windy conditions in March.!
