Woolie Boolie on Lake Oroville
Saturday 3/7/2009
Two Hobie 16s, one Piver, two Nacra 5.8s, a Prindle 18-2 (heavily modified) and a Holder 20 (our best monohull and course mark!) came to the lake for an easy sail. Winds were in the five to 9 knot range and the day was warm and sunny. Peavy even managed to fly a hull several times.
The course was interesting. The leeward mark was the suspension bridge and the Holder 20, still traveling downwind, was the moving windward mark and had to be passed to port. this was a great idea of Mike's and it pulled the cats back together. Everyone now has some warm socks to wear at the next regatta. When the pictures come through, I will post them.
