| Lake Almanor U.S. Forest Service and PG&E Campgrounds From Interstate 5, take Highway 32 east until it terminates at the Highway 36 junction. Take Highway 36 east towards Chester, turning south at the junction of Highway 89. Continue along the west shore of Lake Almanor. The Forest Service campground is halfway down the lake to Pratville, while the PG&E campground is at the lake near Canyondam. Follow Highway 70 past Oroville and into the Feather River Canyon. Turn north at the intersection with Highway 89, until reaching Lake Almanor. The PG&E campground is at the south end of the lake; the Forest Service campground is halfway up the west shore. |
