From Highway 70: Proceed on Highway 70 to Oroville. Take Highway 162 west. Turn south (left)to enter the Monument Hill day use area.

From Highyway 99: Proceed on Highway 99, turning east at its intersection with Highway 162. Cross the viaduct one mile, turning south (right) into the Monument Hill day use area.

This facility has a single boat ramp, sandy beach, bathrooms, a fish-cleaning station, and can be quite pleasant. In season, many motorboats and personal watercraft use this part of the lake. There is no user fee for this facility.
